About The Work

Inspiration

Weiss feels each work conveys her fascination and testimony to the existence of a Creator. Weiss is continually captivated not only by the colors, textures, and luminosities naturally found within the earth's crust, but the uniqueness in every object, similarly mirroring our own originality and extraordinary design as organisms created by God.

Evolution

Weiss began to create handmade functional works in 2013. Her first personal piece became a wood coffee table with precious and semiprecious stones that captivated clients and friends. They would inquire about a piece to be created for themselves. Weiss began to create works for others and, in 2014, partnered with 1stDibs to bring her pieces to art collectors all over the world. In 2014 Larry Ellison and Nikita Kahn purchased a work for their Marina Del Rey home, and HRH Prince Faisal Al Saud commissioned work for his father, HRH Bandar Al Saud's Riyadh palace. In 2015, Alia and Ron Tutor requested she create a standing work for their Aspen home. In November 2020, Weiss's first permanent public sculpture was installed in the spa of New York's well-known Lotte Palace Hotel. Her works have also been displayed at The New York Design Center and the last of her collection is being sold with 1stdibs.com.

The Physical Work

Each work is encased with a durable and non-hazardous solution. Elements range from woods and metals to crystals and gemstones. Wood and stones are sourced from all over the world to find the brightest and rarest materials with excellent character and luster.
